What we liked
- + Plugs into smartphones for quick clip-on voice recording anywhere
- + Lav placement keeps levels steady compared with a phone on a table
- + Rode name backs it with more consistency than no-name phone lavs
Trade-offs
- - Superseded by the smartLav+, which is the more current Rode option
- - Phones without a headphone jack need an extra adapter to use it
