What we liked
- + Four XLR/TRS locking combo inputs with individual 24V/48V phantom power put a four-person podcast on separate tracks.
- + The touch-panel launcher includes recording apps for podcasting, voice interviews, music and field recording.
- + Detachable 14.6mm large-diaphragm condenser mics can be set in A-B or X-Y position for stereo capture.
Trade-offs
- - At close to $400 it is the premium pick in this guide, more recorder than a solo show with one microphone needs.
- - Bluetooth control needs the separate AK-BT1 adapter, and the listing notes the AK-BT2 adapter is not compatible.
