What we liked
- + Reaches about 82 inches with a flexible 16 inch gooseneck, which is good for tall or standing talkers.
- + Aluminum tripod folds to 16 inches, so it packs for on-the-go podcasts and field recording.
- + Includes 3/8, 5/8 and 1/4 inch thread adapters and two mic clips, plus clip-on cable holders.
Trade-offs
- - Lighter aluminum construction is less stable than steel with a heavy microphone.
- - Gooseneck is flexible but not as precise to position as a boom arm.
