What we liked
- + Built-in suspension system and foam pop filter mean no extra shock mount or filter is needed for a basic desk setup.
- + Tap-to-mute with an LED indicator shows at a glance whether the mic is live, handy for solo hosts and remote calls.
- + Tilting weighted stand plus 3/8 inch and 5/8 inch threads lets you start on the desk and move to a mic arm later.
Trade-offs
- - Aimed at gaming setups, so it offers a single USB connection and no XLR upgrade path for a growing studio.
- - Filters such as high-pass and voice enhancement are set through HyperX NGENUITY software, which is optional but extra to install.
