What we liked
- + 32-bit float recording is listed, which removes the need to set input gain carefully before a take.
- + Onboard three-mic array covers stereo, mono and surround capture, plus a 3.5mm mic/line input with plug-in power.
- + The bundle adds a microSDXC card, charger with 4 AA cells and a card reader, so recording can start out of the box.
Trade-offs
- - Only a 3.5mm external input is listed, with no XLR jacks, so pro dynamic mics need an adapter.
- - This is a third-party bundle and costs more than the recorder alone, mainly because of the accessories.
