Aperture diameter is the only spec that decides whether a mic flag fits, and it is quoted in a way that is easy to skim past. A 1.54 inch hole, about 39 mm, clears the barrel of a typical slim handheld interview mic and a reporter condenser, but it will not go over a fat-bodied broadcast dynamic or a mic already wearing a foam windscreen. Measure the barrel just below the grille before you order, and remember the flag has to slide past the capsule end, so the widest point of the head matters as much as the shaft. ABS is the standard material and the useful distinction is not the plastic but the finish: a matte blank panel takes vinyl or a printed decal cleanly, while a glossy shell throws hot specular reflections back at your key light.
